Iftiin education and Development established primary school in this village in 2007. Since the construction of this school by IFED, more than 2500 intermediate students graduated from this school who completed their secondary studies at other schools in the region particularly Adado district and as well in Mogadishu.
Since the construction school 10 years ago, the school did not receive any rehabilitation resulting that it nearly to collapse. The school has been closed during the school year of 2018-2019 due to the safety of the students because the roofs, doors and windows, toilets were critically damaged dilapidated. The school buildings become old and lacked repair and maintenance with their condition eventually becoming dilapidated. The situation was exacerbated by the location of the school which is very near to the seacoast.
The galvanized iron sheets have been rusting gradually until all of them collapsed and destroyed by the rust. School furniture were also broken due to the lack of repairing or replacement. During the last school year, the students who were studying in this school were shifted to other schools in Hobyo district.
